Here's my special 2 IN 1 review edition for the movies The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. This is for the anticipation of The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. The Mummy:
The Good: Great special effects! In my opinion, even better than Journey to the Center of the Earth. The mummy was actually chilling and frightening.
The Acting: In a movie like this, nonstop action and all, you'd expect no acting. Actually, the characters had charm and emotion! Surprising, huh?
The Action: The action is spectacular! Amazing and suspenseful!
The Bad: The movie could've taken out a little action. It's great and all, but pretty nonstop. A little more magic, that's all.
Overall: A spectacular, nonstop action-packed ride! Underrated!
The Mummy Returns:
The Good: Same as the first, this had great special effects! Spectacular creatures with a ton of mummies!
The Action: Great, spectacular, and amazing action sequences!
Father-and-son: Rick and his son have great chemistry together.
Some good drama, too.
The Bad: TOO MUCH ACTION! Far too much. I was worn out. Thank goodness it was great action, though!
The Acting: Unfortunately, the characters lost their charm. And the Mummy could've been scarier.
Overall: Not as good as the first, with too much action, but good chemistry is a new thing!
