The Dark Knight Review

Sorry I'm late, but I saw the Dark Knight the first day it opened, but here's the synopsis. "The follow-up to the action hit "Batman Begins,

"The Dark Knight" reunites director Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale, who reprises the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne. In the new film, Batman raises the stakes in his war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as The Joker." Here's my review:

The Good: Before I walked into this, I was thinking of the raving reviews it got, mainly because of the late Heath Ledger. They said he deserves an Oscar. My dad and I thought it was out for sympathy, just because he died. When I saw his performance in this, here's what I thought. Not only is this the best performance he has ever given, but this is the single best performance in a comic book/superhero movie I have ever seen. Not out of sympathy, folks, but he was absolutely the most memorable movie characters I have ever seen. He definately deserves an Oscar.

The performances were great! Besides Heath Ledger, there were some other fantastic performances in this movie. Christian Bale, Aaron Eckhart, Gary Oldman, Maggie Gyllenghal, Michael Caine, and Morgan Freeman. They were amazing to watch!

The action has some of the best explosions and fight sequences I have ever seen! This action was much better than the first, because they didn't have a shaky camera. Best action probably EVER!

The director is probably one of my favorites, now. Christopher Nolan directed The Prestige (underrated thriller), Batman Begins, and this movie, The Dark Knight.
The Bad: It may be 2 and a half hours, but it's the best 2 and a half hours I have ever spent in a movie. Wait, that's not bad!
Overall: This is a fantastic, wonderful, amazing, and superb movie! Quite possibly the best movie ever. No exaggeration, Heath Ledger as the Joker deserves and Oscar, same for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Screenplay. Best Movie Ever! 10/10. (I'm going to be the Joker for Halloween!
