200TH POST FOR THE BLOG

MBJ here. This is my final post for MBJ's blog. Hope you like my top 10 favorite movies of all-time. Here's my new blog address: http://www.mbjmovies.blogspot.com

10. Personally, I've never seen the old Star Treks. So I wasn't expecting much from this movie, but it blew me away with awesome action, story, characters, dialogue, everything. Great movie for everyone.

9. X-Men Origins: Wolverine
A great story about one of my favorite superheroes. Tons of action, story, characters, powers, and laughs to make this a fantastic super-hero movie.

8. Terminator 2: Judgement Day (edited)
Although this is R-rated, I watched it edited and it was amazing. Fantastic story and action, cool performances, brilliant visuals, and ultimately a great movie.

7. Iron Man
A great and believable super hero movie, with cool visuals and action, a well-told story, and great performances. Nice job, Iron Man workers.

6. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
A perfect addition to an amazing franchise. Lack of action doesn't keep HP6 from being a brilliant, well-told, character-developed, and magical movie.

5. Men in Black
A 1997 movie? Can't help it. My favorite comedy, with tons of belly-laughs, cool visuals and sweet action, amazing story, and nice performances. Men in Black redefined science fiction and comedy.

4. Up
Best PIXAR movie. Best animated movie. PIXAR outdid itself, making a heartwarming, hilarious, sweet, awesome, and great movie altogether, live-action or not.

3. Probably my brain is screwed up. People hated this movie, but for some reason I can't help but LOVE it. Loved the action, some of the humor, story, and visuals. Just a perfect no-brain-user movie.

A perfect action movie. Gave it a 10 because action is my favorite genre, and this movie was perfect at that. This movie redefines action movies, and is how all action movies should be made. Period.

My favorite movie since July 18, 2008. That day I realized how much I loved this movie. Then I saw it again. It got better. Then again. Got better. So this is what makes a perfect movie. This movie was perfect in every way to me. Perfect story, perfect action, perfect acting, perfect direction, perfect hero, perfect villains, perfect characters, perfect length, perfect movie. The list goes on and on. Not only my favorite super hero movie, not only my favorite comic book movie, but my favorite movie, and The Dark Knight will probably be my favorite movie for a long time.

Worst Movies I've Ever Seen

Behold the worst movies I've ever seen.

Ladies and gentlemen, behold the worst movie I've ever seen. Some of the worst dialogue ever. And the rest is the worst acting, directing, comedy, romance, drama, story, and a lot more of these qualities that make this the worst movie ever. Good job, Lindsay Lohan. Chris Pine, what the heck are you doing in this, and not doing more movies like Star Trek? Huh? 1.5/10

Probably the most disappointing movie I've ever seen. It had some cool action and fights, but I was expecting much more, since I loved the first one, and liked the second one. Really though, terrible direction, acting, dialogue, and about everything else besides some action. 5/10

Though this had promise, and I was really wanting to see this, and it had interesting action and visuals, this movie had the worst dialogue ever said and written, terrible story, bad acting, and a dumb ending. 5.5/10. (Got lowered. Was 7/10, but then I watched it again. Got worse.)

An unfunny, stupid, and crude movie I was hoping that would be good. So disappointed by the unfunny jokes, stupid story, and crude content. 4/10.

Here's my summary from beginning, middle, and ending: Beginning: boring, Middle: Pretty Exciting: Ending: TERRIBLE! Has some suspense, but ultimately a bad, boring, and dumb movie. 5.5/10.

This terrible movie was even hated by the makers of it, so what would make me like it? An unfunny, unamusing, and digusting excuse for a movie. 2/10.
Mentionables:
Lady in the Water 6.5/10
The Village 6/10

2 New Teaser Posters For "Bullet Frame"

Here they are:

Official Poster For "Bullet Framed"

Here it is! It's going to be a very good action-packed movie.

"Bullet Framed" Back DVD Cover

Here's the story of my new movie "Bullet Framed." This is going to be on the back of the DVD cover.

Story: Hank Hamil (McKay Olson) is a CIA Agent who's been in Russia on an assignment. In the small town Phillips, Maine, a killer is on the loose. Multiple gunshots are fired and many are killed in the Town Hall. The CIA blamed Hamil because the killer left fingerprints that straightly directed to him. While he waits for court, Hamil tries to prove his innocence and bring the criminal to justice.

With nonstop action and bullets, mystery, and hilarity, Bullet Framed is "an adrenaline rush that kicks the petal to the medal and doesn't hold back until the end." (Jojo, Moviemarks.com.)

PG-13 for violence including intense shooting sequences, and for some disturbing images."

I'M MAKING A MOVIE!

It's still in production, but it's going to be an action-packed thrill ride. It's called "Bullet Framed." Cheesey title, huh? June 27, 2010 will be the release date.

17 Again Review

Thanks for checking out my 17 Again review. Here's the description:

"What would you do if you got a second shot at life? Class of 1989, Mike O'Donnell is a star on his high school basketball court with a college scout in the stands and a bright future in his grasp. But instead, he decides to throw it all away to share his life with his girlfriend Scarlett and the baby he just learned they are expecting. Almost 20 years later, Mike's glory days are decidedly behind him. His marriage to Scarlett has fallen apart, he has been passed over for a promotion at work, his teenage kids think he is a loser, and he has been reduced to crashing with his high school nerd-turned-techno-billionaire best friend Ned. But Mike is given another chance when he is miraculously transformed back to the age of 17. Unfortunately, Mike may look 17 again, but his thirtysomething outlook is totally uncool in the class of 2009. And in trying to recapture his best years, Mike could lose the best things that ever happened to him." (movieweb.com)

The Good: Zac Efron is very good in the lead role. In fact, I think he did a better job in this movie than HSM. Really. He's going to have a great career in acting.

There are some very funny moments in this film.

Has a lot of heart in it.

17 Again has an engaging story that keeps it fast-paced.

The Bad: Some pointless scenes. Such as a 6 minute fight with Efron's friend.

Drags on in the last 10-15 minutes.

Some characters seem to be off in their own worlds.

Overall: 17 Again is a funny, heartwarming, and good movie. Problems don't take away Zac Efron's charm, so it's definitly worth checking out. 8/10.

ESPN NFL 2K5 PS2 Review

Thanks for checking out my NFL 2K5 review. I know this is an old game, but it's the last of the Sega football series. Shame.

The Good: ESPN Presentation. Perfect presentation. There's even a SportsCenter presentation after your game. Very awesome.

The Graphics seem like PS3 graphics. Yeah, that good. Sega outdid themselves and made a brilliant-looking game.

The Gameplay is above average for a football game.

Tons of modes, even The Crib, which is your own football dream home where you can play with Jamie Kennedy and other stars.

The Bad: Completions are occasionally tricky. A lot of incomplete passes in this game, even if they're open. But that's just a fluke.

Overall: In my opinion, better than Madden. It "maddens" me that Madden football won over Sega, where Sega made a football classic that's my favorite sports game of all-time. Brilliant graphics, gameplay, presentation, and modes. Also only $20 for a new copy. Unbelievable. Love this game. 9/10.

College Hoops 2K8 PS2 Review

Thanks for checking out my review of College Hoops 2K8.

The Good: Some cool replays and presentations.

Lots of different teams to choose from.

A decent amount of modes.

The Bad: Holy smokes. Where do I begin? First off, terrible, TERRIBLE graphics. Geez, some people are paying so much attention to the XBOX360 and PS3 versions of this game, they forget the PS2 and remember it a day before the release. Really annoying.

Gameplay is as typical as any other game.

Tons of glitches, like one time the game froze up when I shot the ball, and it got stuck on the rim. That froze up the game.

Overall: A below-average basketball game. Terrible graphics and gameplay make this a bad game I wouldn't recommend. 4.5/10.

NCAA Football 2008 PS2 Review

Thanks for checking out my NCAA Football 08 review.

The Good: Great graphics for a PS2. Just a great football game to look at.

Tons of modes, teams, characters, and features. You can create characters and train him through college.

Cool and smooth gameplay keep the game going.

Momentum gets this cool slow motion technique during your play. If something very close is going to happen, like a block in a field goal, or something really close, it shows that in slow motion and zooms on the player to show what happens. Very cool.

The Bad: No replay value. Barely any replays really disappoints me.

A few visual glitches.

Kind of drags after a while.

Overall: A great college football game with great features, gameplay, and graphics. Has its problems, but a must-have altogether. 8.5/10.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell PS2 Review

Thanks for checking out my Splinter Cell review for the PS2.

The Good: The stealth is so realistic, that it could've been rated M with a little push. There's no blood, but the action is intense, realistic, and sometimes, scary. This movie definitely redefines action altogether.

The cinematics make you forget that this is a game, because it's treated like a movie. The first 30 minute intro shows the story and it could be a great movie with just that scene. Brilliant.

Sam Fisher is a cool, dark, and intense character. Just his voice can give you goosebumps. Awesome.

The PS2 has an exclusive level in a nuclear power plant.

The graphics are the best PS2 graphics you'll ever see, especially in the intro.

The Bad: Whoa. This game is pretty hard. It can be so hard, that it could frustrate you.

They never give you enough ammo until the second half.

Overall: An intense, action-packed thrill ride of a video game, and although it's pretty tough on a lot of parts, it is beautiful to look at, and redefines action and stealth altogether. 8.5/10.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra Review

Thanks for checking out my G.I. Joe review.

The Good: Snake Eyes. This dude is easily my favorite character. (Spoiler Alert: He doesn't say a word throughout the movie. End of Spoiler). It tells his history with Storm Shadow, the white ninja. I would have loved a spin-off telling more about these character's history together. During the history, Snake Eyes as a kid is homeless and tries to steal food, but Storm Shadow fights him. It's just an awesome history that made this part of the movie my favorite.

Next is the action sequences: Oh boy, was there a lot. Big nonstop action sequences, with cool slow motion moves and big explosions.

The Visuals and Special Effects were just like Transformers, so it was loud and realistic.

The overall story is true to the old G.I. Joe franchise.

The Bad: Sometimes there's a really annoying shaky cam during action scenes.

Weak story keeps this from understanding what's happening.

Pour acting. Oh man, some actors said terrible dialogue and felt extremely wooden, even Dennis Quaid (Vantage Point star.) Disappointing.

Overall: Not as good of Transformers, but a worthy action-thriller with brilliant action, and Snake Eyes. Despite some problems, a good movie that could have been great with a better screenplay and acting. 8/10.
