The Matrix: Path of Neo PS2 Review

Every now and then, I like to do reviews for games. Here's a PS2 game I've been dying to play. Oh, by the way, that Enter the Matrix game I reviewed a while back got toned down to an 8/10, because I played a little bit more, and it got extremely repetitive. So here's a review for the Path of Neo.

The Good: First off, I'm a HUGE Matrix fan. (Loved the Matrix, Matrix Reloaded, and Matrix Revolutions). I'm so ticked they are rated R, but I'd buy them in a heartbeat if they were PG-13. I saw them edited and loved them. This game is so true to the Matrix trilogy, and I loved that. So it's very true to itself...

The Action in games is very tricky. Luckily, this takes that myth and slams it to the ground. Brilliant action, with tons of slow motion, bullet time (see below), and over 600 martial arts moves. Yep, there's over 600 punches, kicks, etc. Loved that you could get away with tons of stuff.

Bullet Time= WOW! Bullet Time is my favorite movie technique. It's when you go faster than time. You can see bullets with a rush of air behind them. In this game, it's very cool, and exciting.

Shows movie footage. Loved it. Adds a lot to the story. Just like inFAMOUS, you can watch the movies over and over.

The Bad: Whoa. I would love to aim a gun at the thing I'm supposed to shoot, but the computer says otherwise. For example, I'm supposed to shoot a helicopter that's leading down men, but it took forever because the gun kept aiming at the people instead of the helicopter. Really annoying.

Another thing is that when you're inside a building, subway, etc., the camera keeps catching on things (like walls), and you can't see what's happening. That's very annoying.

Overall: I completely agree with IGN on this one: "The Matrix: Path of Neo does things on PS2 previously thought impossible." This is my favorite PS2 game of all-time, and inFAMOUS is my favorite PS3 game. Despite a few faults, The Matrix: Path of Neo is a brilliant game, with tons of action, bullet time, and film footage. 9/10.

The Matrix: Path of Neo FINALLY CAME!

After a long two weeks, the PS2 game Path of Neo finally came in the mail today. Can't wait to play it. I'll give you a review soon.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Review

Hi folks. MBJ here. Just got back watching Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (didn't see midnight screening). Here's my review:

The Good: First off, let me say this. This is the best Harry Potter film yet, because it's dark, thrilling, and hilarious.

HP6 is very dark. Just as dark, if not darker, than the other Potter films. It has revenge themes, murder themes, anger themes, etc. Definitely dark for a PG movie.

This film may have actually no "action sequences", but great fight scenes and intenes moments.

HP6 is very thrilling. Keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole movie.

Oh yeah, this film is the funniest of all the HP movies. I was belly-laughing at least 10 times, because this film has hilarious jokes and absolutely side-splitting moments.

The romance was actually pretty sweet. (Yeah, yeah, call me a wimp).

This film about had me crying at the sad sequence at the end. (Big spoiler, so I won't tell.)

The Bad: I've read the book, and I was disappointed that they cut out a fight sequence at Hogwarts from the book. That really got me upset, because it would have fit perfectly.

Overall: Don't let the PG rating fool you. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is the best Harry Potter film, because it's the darkest, funniest, most thrilling, and most magical. HP6 is an absolute must-see for fantasy fans and Harry Potter fans alike. 9.5/10.

Harry Potter Special Edition Review

Here is MBJ's reviews of all the other 5 Harry Potter movies. They are very short, so I'm just gonna put the Overall review instead of the good and bad.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Overall: A great way to start a series. With

magic, thrills, scares, and laughs,

this movie made love the whole series

9/10

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Overall: In my opinion, the second best

in the whole series. Very scary, funny, and

smart. Loved it even better than the first.

9.5/10

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Overall: I thought the time-travel got a bit

confusing, but still a great movie

that helps us understand Sirius Black.
8.5/10

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Overall: Action-packed and exciting.

Loved the visuals and look of it,

and was one of the darkest.

PG-13 was pretty accurate. Loved that.

9/10

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Overall: The best of the series. The most action-packed,

funny, scary, and exciting chapter, also.
This movie was brilliant from start to finish.
Glad I saw this in IMAX.

9.5/10

What a great series. Can't wait to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

MBJ's Top 3 Favorite TV Shows

As a post, here are my top 3 favorite TV shows.

3. 24

The best Drama on TV of all-time. Thrills, action, drama, and Jack Bauer. Really love this series.

2. The Simpsons

The best animated TV show, absolutely hilarious. I'd watch a Simpsons episode over and over until I memorize it. Great for laughs.

1. The Office

The best and funniest TV show ever. Surprisingly very sophisticated, hilariously told (even funnier than the Simpsons), and just brilliant altogether. I hope it never ends.

MBJ's Top 10 Movies of the Year So Far

MBJ here. Thanks for checking out my top 10 movies of the year so far.

10. Bride Wars
This was the only movie I could find that I saw this year on DVD. Why would I like it? This is just a space. Oh, wait, some parts were funny.

9. Bedtime Stories

This Adam Sandler movie was okay, but I've seen better.

8. Coraline
A beautiful animated movie that was truly suspenseful and scary. Loved this movie.

7. Terminator: Salvation

Not as good as T2: Judgement Day, but a great action movie with mind-blowing effects.

6. Knowing

A brilliant sci-fi disaster movie that was intense and awesome. The disaster sequences were powerful and exciting, and actually scary.

5. Star Trek

I've never seen the Star Trek tv shows, movies, etc. but this movie was new, pure, and fresh. Effects were brilliant, awesome characters, and splendid story.

4. X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Despite a pretty big flaw, this is my favorite X-Men movie, with the best action scenes in all of them. Terrific character, awesome action, great story, and brilliant movie.

3. Up

My favorite animated movie of all-time. I loved this movie. A story that was flawlessly told, action that was intense, visuals and animation that was perfect, and stupendous characters. PIXAR is the best movie company ever. Up should be nominated for best picture to me.

2. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

The best movie of the summer. It has the best action sequences, visuals, and special effects you'll see all summer. Not only that, but it also has heart, believable characters, and a good story. A must-see for the summer blockbusters.

1. Taken

Nothing wrong with this movie. Perfect action scenes that are intense, edge-of-your-seat, and amazing. Great, exciting story. Liam Neeson should actually be nominated for this role, even if it is an action movie. And, also, it has the best line in a movie I have ever seen; LIAM NEESON: "I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have any money. But what I do have, are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you. I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you. I will find you. And I will kill you." BAD GUY: "Good luck." My favorite action movie, and other than the Dark Knight, this is one of my favorite movies of all-time.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Review

Hi folks. MBJ here. I cannot believe the negative reviews of the critics, and when I went to see the sequel to Transformers, I thought the critics were 100% wrong. I loved this movie.

The Good: These action sequences were even more intense, nonstop, explosive, non shaky-cam, and slo-mo perfecto than in the first Transformers, and I gotta say, Michael Bay made them to perfection. You heard me say it. This movie has perfect action sequences for a summer blockbuster. Most movies nowadays have a shaky cam (not the movie Taken) that you can't even tell what's going on in the action sequences. In this one, it's perfect, beautiful, and amazing.

The Visuals should and will get at least an academy award nomination, if not win. These visuals are even better than the first Transformers, and you can even watch this movie without sound and still be dazzled. I loved these visuals.

The Story is awesome. Megatron and the other evil Decepticons are back for revenge, and boy, that makes it even more exciting.

The Characters are more dramatic and believable.

The Drama is enough to make you cry. I almost cried (not quite, I'm a teenager) in a couple parts in this.

The Comedy is laugh-out-loud hilarious.

The Bad: Sometimes the story is difficult to follow.

Overall: Transformers 2, what it basically does, is take the first Transformers movie, and make everything even bigger, better, and more perfect. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is the perfect summer movie. Easily the best movie of the summer, and the 2nd best movie of the year. (First one is the movie Taken). A must-see. 9.5/10.
